Since 1982 the Rotary Club of East Greenwich has awarded more than $200,000 to 130
deserving students from our area as a result of the endowed Rotary Scholarship Fund.
Because the Scholarship Fund is an endowment, all scholarships are paid out of the earnings
on the Fund's investments and will continue in perpetuity as a permanent supporting
structure of educations assistance grants available to our young people. These grants
are made independent of other charitable activities of the Rotary Club of East Greenwich.
A non-profit corporation, the Scholarship Fund holds tax exempt status under the section 501(c) 3
and accordingly, all contributions are tax deductible. Directors of the Fund are members of the Rotary
Club of East Greenwich and all investment decisions are the sole responsibility of the Directors who are
professionally advised.
Generous members of the Rotary Club of East Greenwich and our community have made substantial donations to the Fund
in the past. In recognition, specific scholarships have been established and named in honor of:
Walter G, Barney
Irving A. Silverman
Howard D. Silverman
Arthur P. Silverman
Barbara M. Tufts
Charles and Beatrice Keyes
